Technical fibres are used to create Haute Technologie textiles

The range of technical fibres used in the production of Haute Technologie technical yarns, fabrics and felts includes non-burning fibres such as para-aramid, meta-aramid, pre-oxidised PAN, PBI, Kynol and Basofil fibres. Flame-retardant fibres used include modacrylic, viscose FR and polyester FR.

Metallic anti-bacterial and anti-static silver and steel fibres, synthetic polyamide, polyethylene, polypropylene and polyester fibres are also used, as well as natural fibres such as wool, cotton and silk.

Haute Technologie worsted, carded and cylinder yarns

Worsted yarns offer high resistance, excellent elasticity and maximum uniformity - even those which have very low tex counts.

Carded yarns are made with technical fibres treated accordingly as para-aramidic, meta-aramidic, pre-oxidised viscose FR, and blends. These yarns can be treated to offer anti-bacterial or anti-static properties through the inclusion of steel or silver fibres.

Three-cylinder-cotton yarns are supplied in modacrylic, modacrylic/combed cotton, modacrylic/combed cotton/polyamide, modacrylic/viscose FR, viscose FR/combed cotton, and also with anti-static properties.

High-performance technical felts

Technical felts obtained with high-performance fibres para-aramid, meta-aramid and pre-oxidised PAN have wide areas of application. These felts include light fibres that are easily compressed, non-degradable, non-toxic and fireproof. Haute Technologie technical felts dampen sound and have high thermal and mechanical resistance. Moreover, they replace hazardous or irritating materials like asbestos, fibreglass and foams.

Haute Technologie technical felts easily absorb resins and so are ideal for reinforcing compound materials for auto-lubricating components, impact-resistant textiles, draining, brakes, clutches, thermal shields, high-temperature valves, fireproof bulkheads and thermal barriers, pipe insulators and electricity insulators, sound dampers for aircraft, lining and padding for clothes and thermal lining for the car industry.

Fabrics for protective clothing, industrial and upholstery applications

Fabrics designed and produced by Haute Technologie are used to make protective clothing, military clothing, work and sport clothing, curtains and lining, non-burning fabrics for upholstery, upholstery velvets and fabrics for use in trains, ships, cars and aircraft.
