Nitivy Solvron® water soluble yarns & fibres (fibers)
For many years we have been suppliers of Nitivy Solvron® yarn manufactured from PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) by the dry spinning method.
Solvron is easily dissolvable by plain warm or hot water, without the aid of chemical agents and has many specialist applications.
Nitivy Solvron multifilament and monofilament yarns and fibres
Because of its ready solubility, Solvron is not suitable for ordinary clothing items. However, a number of significant applications for Solvron have been developed and perfected that take advantage of its water-soluble properties.
Twistless pile making
- Feather-like softness and high absorbency
- Twistless effect for towels, bath robes, babywear, sportswear etc.
Separation
- Socks, fishing nets, sweaters, narrow (knitted) tape
Weavability improvement
- Reinforcement in fine yarns/fluff binding
- Utilisation for wool fabric
Weftless felt in paper mills
- Making the felt for paper mills devoid of weft
Solvron sewing thread
- Tacking thread for sanitary laundry bags
- Ground cloth in embroidery
- Marking in panty-hose and tights production
Higher quality Raschel lace
- To create fancy picot/scallop patterns and to make separation easier
Ajoure fabric
- To create fancy weave or pattern by partially dissolving the fabric, especially check designs
Special pile fabric
- By circular-double or tricot machines – creates a very interesting and high-level pile-knit fabric suitable for sports jerseys and ladies' garments

*When Nitivy Solvron is knitted or woven to fabrics, it is recommended the temperature is raised to that required for dissolving treatment, as indicated on the table.
**Shrinking yarn (Type-SHC):SHC yarn shrinks greatly in water at 25°C.
